Hey everyone, this will be my first post from BC. Im here with a few friends working at Studio B for the summer. So it took me awhile to get all settled in and do some new work to post here.
This is some early concept for my film next year...im attempting to put my own spin on the film noir genre. Much more change to come...

Old work, and some people worth mentioning..

Big post here...Ive been working long hours of the film since jan, so its been hard to get together new pieces. I thought id post some existing work i had laying around. I wanted to mention a few people who really helped me out at Sheridan in the last few years and were vital in my development as an artist. Robin Joseph, Bernard Joaquin, Ben Plouffe, and Linton Joseph are all linked right. They were as good as almost any teacher I had at the school, so i wanted to mention them all in this post. Above are some longer poses from lifedrawing which were used in my newest portfolio. The second image are a bunch of crocodile designs that I did right before my second year which I tightened up a bit just recently. The last piece was a digital painting I did from the movie lost in translation, also in the summer before second year while plouffe was teaching me how to digital paint(i had no knowledge of photoshop before). Im not crazy about the scarlett johansson portrait, but I was really happy with the bill murray back when i finished it. Anyway, back to animating Bazo. And check out all four people mentioned, all have blogs with great work.

Life Drawing Portfolio

I felt like posting some of my lifedrawing, since we have a portfolio due around this time. Recently ive been playing around with my linework and starting to dabble into colour. I checked out a really great Schiele exhibit when I visited NY in december. One room had 20 or 30 works that he had done right after leaving art school, and it was just a really great experience to see them in person. I wanted to mention Gerry Zeldin(my third year life drawing instructor) as well, who manages to create a great class environment where the students that take part are encouraged to grow and develop as artists. He has been hands down one of the best instructors I've ever had at Sheridan college, and Im sure that many other Sheridan Animation Alumni who were taught by Gerry can attest to the same thing.

BAZO EXPLOSION!

Its been awhile since I posted last, I hope people are still stopping by. It feels like we just got over a major hump with our film, "Bazo". We changed the story, art direction, basically gave the film an overhaul. Needless to say, Im a lot happier with what weve got going. These are the new designs for the main character I came up with. Let me know what you think.

Musical Toby

Its been awhile since ive posted...This is a quick sketch from awhile back. Me and my good pal Jeff Thompson wanted to try memory sketching out at the Royal Winter Fair. We spotted this interesting character playing air guitar, bobbing his head to country music with supreme confidence. I'll have some new work up in the near future, Happy New Year.

thats a giant sun...in case you dont know

Hey people, this is the project thats been keeping me so busy these days. Ill be posting a lot more artwork related to this film in the near future. But for now, heres a concept piece for the world in which this story takes place in. Thats a giant robotic sun right there....and yes, a giant arachno-moon will come into play...maybe theyll fight. More to come.

Second Year Work.

Its been extremely busy at school with deadlines, so im posting some old work.
This was a character i developed for my second year lip sync project at Sheridan. The basic story involved a moose in need of direction while travelling in London, but he soon finds out that British people dont speak "moose".

This is some concept for the film ill be working on this year, its being directed by my friend Casper Konefal, who hasnt joined the blog craze yet, but should, because people need to see his pretty pretty work. More Bazo to come.

Umbrella Boy

I worked on a film called "Umbrella Boy" over the summer with 8 friends from school. We spent 4 months on it and in my opinion ended up with something pretty decent. This is some early concept work I did. Ill try and post the film at some point.
