Annecy 08

.

Me and Olga went on an amazing trip this past June. My student film, Key Lime Pie, was selected for competition in Annecy, which gave me an excuse to pack my bags and check out France for a week. Ive posted some pics and sketches from my trip.

My film's screening in La Grand Salle.

For a moment I forgot how to spell Annecy..I had to write it down three times with varying amounts of "N's" and "C's", and eventually some sort of visual trigger went off and I was able to circle the correct spelling. I was so proud of myself..

On the way home, this man was escorted off our plane by federal agents. They spent 20 minutes cleaning his seat afterwards. It was odd.
I swear these two were clones. They were looking at softcore porn on the plane and were quite comfortable doing so. It was humbling.

Back in NY...

Congratulations on getting into the Annecy film fest. I have been visiting your blog ever since I heard of the film (quite some time ago now. 6 months?) but I still haven't seen Key Lime Pie. Will it be shown on the internet at all? I noticed Oktopodi is also not showing its work on its site. I don't understand why they don't put a high quality version up, since the only version people will end up seeing is the low quality youtube versions that probably aren't supposed to be there at all anyway. :P Thoughts?

By the way, your photographs of France are awesome. I love the painted tunnel- wow!

Cheers,

M
